The Ferrari Challenge was held at the Autodromo del Mugello as a worthy means of closing the Ferrari Finali Mondiali 2011. After 19 exciting races it was the last chance in the season for fans to attend spectacular battles for the title.

On the 6th November Andrea Belluzzi claimed the title in the Ferrari 458s and F430s classes with some incredibly gripping final racing and hence became the reigning Ferrari Challenge Champion – the challenge event being held in Europe, North America and Asia.

As the exclusive manufacturer of Ferrari-licensed reproductions, Carrera simply had to be present on site at such an important event. A large Carrera circuit was set up to give racing enthusiasts of all ages an opportunity to power 1:32 scale models of the Ferrari F10, Ferrari 458 und Ferrari 599xx around the track.

After the Ferrari Challenge there was no let up in the spectacular action as 50 guest drivers put their accelerators to the floor in various Ferraris, among them Luca di Montezemolo, Piero Ferrari, Giancarlo Fisichella and Marc Gene who didn’t need to be asked twice.

A further highlight of the event was a visit by Gerhard Berger, who presented the Ferrari 412 T2 he raced in during the 1995 Formula 1 world championship.
