From the 6th – 9th June 2007 the 5th edition of the ‘Gaisbergrennen’, a race for vintage cars, was held in Salzburg. The weather was very kind to the organisers, drivers and spectators allowing an unforgettable event to be staged in warm, summery weather!
 
The event was adjudged using the ‘regularity’ mode. Only cars of historical significance built up to 31.12.1969 were allowed to race. The event featured five different disciplines: The City Grand Prix, the Salzburg Ring and three different races up the Gaisberg mountain (Source: www.src.co.at)
 
Of course, Carrera was there too!
Carrera was also there with an event area featuring a circuit enabling Gaisbergrennen spectators to try their hands at racing around the Carrera track! A four-lane Carrera Exclusiv circuit was set up and a Ferrari 330 P4 and a Porsche C6 ended up battling for the top spot! Another side event held on the occasion of the City Grand Prix on the 07.06.2007 was 15th official annual Carrera Club get-together (www.carreraclub.com)!
 
For us it was a fantastic event for all fans of vintage cars and racing enthusiasts...
