Porsche Carrera 6 Nürburgring 1000km 1968

The "green hell" in Germany's Eifel-mountains showed in May 1968, that its' name is well-deserved: rain, hailstorms and snowfall put a lot of stress on the spectacular field of 100 sportscarsregular. Being a test of limits even under regular conditions, the track took its' toll among the starters, resulting in only 47 cars left at the end of the race. One of the unlucky cars was this Porsche Carrera 6, which had to withdraw because of broken rocker-arms.
